Chianti House with Restored Barn and Pool
Nestled in the Florentine countryside, this charming farmhouse is surrounded by private land which is partly garden and partly olive grove with a wooded area and chestnut trees.

Location
This property is located in Greve in Chianti, also called “Gateway to Chianti”, a large country area characterised by hills covered in vineyards and olive groves with small villages.
At a short distance from San Polo, along the provincial road that connects Chianti to Valdarno, an area with farms, private houses and small villages and where life flows quietly. Several dirt roads connect main road to the properties that are hidden in the green of nature.
Description
One kilometre of dirt road leads to the house which is located on top of a hill.
The farmhouse is totally independent and rises on two levels and includes the remains of an old watchtower.
On the ground floor there is a large living room with a fireplace, the kitchen large enough to host large families comfortably, a study, a bathroom, laundry room and a double bedroom.
The second floor comprises 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathroom as well a lovely panoramic terrace overlooking the countryside and the city of Florence in the distance.
In a separate location there is the old barn, also in excellent condition and on two levels, currently used as storage for sun beds and garden tables.
Condition
The house was totally restored in 2006 in a respectful and careful way, reinforcing the structure, the roof and the walls.
Outdoor spaces
The property is set in 12 hectares of land, a part of which is slightly detached. There are about 600 olive trees, woodland, chestnut grove and a very large area where it possible to plant a vineyard or other crops.
Part of the land closest to the house is kept as a garden, with the swimming pool of about 10m x 6m and several spaces to relax reading a book or drink a glass of good “Chianti dei colli fiorentini” wine. There is also a more concealed area to park cars.
