This incredible country house with an ancient abbey and land is located in the heart of Italy, just a few kilometres from Massa Martana.

The house measures about 250 sqm and sits at the top of the Umbrian Apennines, in a well-known area full of history between the mountains of Montemartano, the Tiberina Valley and Spoleto.

An ancient monastery was built, with panoramic views over the valley and extensive grounds with ancient woods. The panoramic views extend from the Tiberina Valley and the areas of Perugia, Todi and Orvieto, as far as the cities of Assisi, Spoleto, Foligno, Spello and Trevi.

The abbey was built before the year one thousand on the ancient remains of a Roman temple, destroyed and restored several times.

After the First World War, the monastery (at the time almost destroyed) was bought together with the land by a well known family, who restored the property whilst keeping the original materials intact.
