Palazzi del Papa

Agriturismo Palazzi del Papa is an exclusive country estate with swimming pool, set in the heart of Val d’Orcia, just a few kilometres from Pienza, the famous historic town conceived in the 15th century by Pope Pius II. The property lies within the area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, and its proximity to the Via Francigena—an ancient pilgrimage route and popular destination for walkers and cyclists—makes it especially appealing to lovers of slow and authentic travel. Thanks to its strategic location, the property offers easy access to the most charming villages, landmarks and iconic sites of this unique territory.

Palazzi del Papa features apartments of various types as well as two guest rooms, all carefully restored with great attention to the quality of materials and respect for the original architecture. The interiors are furnished in a traditional style typical of Tuscan farmhouses and retain authentic features such as wooden beam ceilings. Each apartment includes a fully equipped masonry kitchen and all modern comforts, ensuring guests a stay defined by relaxation, elegance and authenticity.

Apartments

Pio II

Charming apartment comprising a small living area, kitchen, bathroom with whirlpool shower, and a triple bedroom with double bed and single bed. Air-conditioned. Ideal for families or small groups of friends.

Pio III

Traditional-style apartment featuring a spacious living room with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Air-conditioned. Perfect for families and groups of friends.

Pio VI

Elegant apartment consisting of a large living room with double sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom. Air-conditioned. Ideal for families.

Bellarmino Apartment

Spacious and characterful apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room and fully equipped kitchen. Suitable for families, groups of friends and guests with disabilities.

 

Guest Rooms

Canonica Rooms I & II

Charming double rooms located in the characteristic former agricultural outbuilding adjacent to the main farmhouse. Each room features a private bathroom, air conditioning and garden views.

Services included: mini-fridge, coffee machine, kettle, bed and bath linen, courtesy toiletry set, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, swimming pool and garden.

 

Facilities

Swimming pool (4 x 11 m, depth 1.20 m), equipped green areas, free Wi-Fi connection, children’s play area, hammock, two masonry barbecues, and laundry room with washing machine.

Breakfast service, lunches/dinners with farm-produced products, extra housekeeping services.

Please note: the property may be less suitable for families with very young children, as the garden is not fenced and the house is located near an internal access road, although it is not heavily trafficked.

Within the property there is an apartment where the owner’s daughter lives, a discreet and reserved presence that does not interfere with the guests’ privacy

Additional Information

Rates include water, gas and electricity consumption, final cleaning, and bed and bath linen (linen change is weekly).

Heating is not included and must be paid on site according to consumption.

Upon arrival, guests are required to provide a security deposit of €500.00, refundable at the end of the stay minus any charges for damages.

Check-out: by 10:00 am

Swimming pool open from 01/05 to 31/10.

A local tourist tax may be required upon arrival in accordance with municipal regulations.
