The property is about 3 kilometers from Città della Pieve, a small town that has preserved its medieval imprint. From the esplanade of the fortress you can enjoy a unique view of the surrounding countryside of the Val di Chiana and Trasimeno. In the restaurants you can eat pici and wild boar meat, not forgetting the excellent local wine.
The “Palio dei Terzieri” starts from the square. An event that lasts about 10 days and ends on the Sunday after August 15th with the “bull hunt” competition between the “Terzieri”, “Borgo Dentro”, “Casalino” and “Castello”. The palio, invented in 1972 by Don Carbonari, with strong religious references, is the main tourist attraction of the village. Centrally located within easy driving distance of all amenities, restaurants, sports centers, shops, banks, health care, high-way and rail links make this an ideal location for exploring the region and the rest of Italy.
