ITALY, TUSCANY, AREZZO
In the Valdichiana, a few minutes from Arezzo and Cortona, a fascinating residential complex with an ancient history, whose roots date back to the 16th century. Immersed in a lush park, enriched by majestic holm oaks, pines and cypresses, this property includes both the main villa and important annexes, whose structure has been transformed and expanded over the centuries to reach its current magnificence.
Initially consisting only of a stately tower house, with the lower floors used as stables and the main floor as the living area, this building has undergone significant transformations over time. In 1650, it was converted into a charming farmhouse, whilst a century later a new tower and loggia were added on the west side, giving an impressive symmetry and aristocratic elegance to the villa.
During the 19th century, the historic villa was expanded, transforming it into a sumptuous luxury residence, and in the early 1900s a house was added adjacent to the west tower.
Currently, the eastern part of the complex includes the original tower and the farmhouse, coming together to form a single residence for sale. The basement floor houses cellars, the ground floor has a bathroom, a kitchen and four living rooms, while the upper floors are intended for the sleeping area.
The central section of the property includes a loggia previously used as stables and garages, now transformed into five apartments. The historic luxury villa on the west side, the result of extension that took place in the 1800s, offers a layout that includes a cellar on the ground floor, the living area with kitchen and rooms on the upper floor, connected to the bedrooms by a double flight of stairs.
A restoration project is underway, respectful of the original architecture, offering the possibility of using this prestigious villa in the heart of Tuscany for various purposes: residential, tourist-accommodation, leisure or other use.
It currently has 12 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms but by renovating the ruined part, it will be possible to take advantage of additional and comfortable living spaces.
