Villa Piaggia

In every corner of Tuscany there are traces of a secular culture. On the ancient Via Francigena, just 15 minutes from San Gimignano and 45 minutes from Florence, Siena and Pisa, lies the village of Piaggia, where time seems to have stopped. In the heart of the business center is the villa with an unusual elongated shape made of exposed stone that can comfortably accommodate up to 25 people and is equipped with every comfort.

The villa has two entrances. The main entrance leads to the living room with television and the library from which there is access to the main lounges, the billiard room and the only room located on the ground floor, a double room with a bathroom suitable for the disabled. The service entrance-located to the left of the main entrance-leads to the kitchen, pantry, huge dining room and hunting room with large fireplace. Also on the ground floor, two small bathrooms without showers, the laundry room and a service room with bathroom complete the overview of spaces. In this wing, on the second floor a magnificent suite with bathroom from which there is a magnificent view of the Tuscan countryside. 

A large sandstone staircase leads to the second floor, where 8 of the Villa's bedrooms are located. All the bedrooms have magnificent views of the garden and are accessed by a long corridor that, to the left, leads to the master-bedroom with its large four-poster bed-king size-which has a sitting room with a terrace overlooking the garden and a large, cozy travertine bathroom. On the same side, 2 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a twin-bedroom with a marble bathroom, and the only empire-style single bedroom with a French bed and a wonderful, large bathroom with a huge shower. To the right of the hallway are the two wonderful suites both with two beds with large en suite bathrooms one of which has a tub. Finally, the grandparents' room with its large four-poster bed and a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. In the right wing of the Villa we find two more bedrooms also with air conditioning. The nanny's room with private bathroom is located on the ground floor near the kitchen, while on the second floor is the last of the suites with a four-poster bed and a magnificent bathroom made of mosaic with fine marble from the area.

In front of the villa there is a large garden with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. A stone staircase with double ramp leads to the 9x14 meter pool, surrounded by a large lawn on the characteristic loggia, where it is possible to eat and relax. On the back of the loggia there is a bathroom with a large shower and a changing room.
The villa is equipped with TV / Sat, DVD player, HI-FI stereo system, WiFi internet connection and air conditioning in the first floor rooms.
Villa Piaggia can also be an ideal place for small wedding receptions. The garden, the pool area, and the loggia with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
In case of bad weather it is possible to use the loggia for the cocktail, the internal lounges for dinner or add a marquee adjacent to the house to cover part of the garden.
The church of "Tonda" is located near Villa Piaggia. It is a small country church that can be used for Catholic ceremonies.
Those who wish to symbolically renew their vows can use the garden of the villa to set up the ceremony.

INCLUDED IN THE RATE

• Daily Cleaning of the rooms between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm - excluding Sundays.
• Linen for the bedrooms and the pool. Linen is changed every Saturday and Wednesday. Extra requirements will be charged as follows: sheets 5 euros per person - towels set 5 euros per person - pool towels 5 euros each.
• Wine tastings and tour at Fattoria Dianella in Vinci

On request daily prices. Minimun stay of 2 nights

COSTS AND SERVICES

• Extra bed 100 euros per week
• First shopping: 40 euros for the service, in addition to the shopping cost
• Gas consumption is charged euros 6,50 per unit
• Electricity consumption exceding 450 KW is charged euros 0.90 per KW
• House keeper extra hours are charged euros 20 per hour

FOOD SERVICE

• Breakfast, 25 euros per person per day, minimum 10 people (excluding Sundays)
• Lunch/Dinner: up to 8 people, 500 euros flat rate (excluding wine). Over 8 people, from 75 euros per person (excluding wine).
• Meals should be booked with at least 48 hrs notice and are subject to the chef’s availability
• Lunch is served between 12pm and 2pm and dinner between 7pm to 9pm. Alternative timings may be arranged directly with the chef.

WEDDING DAY EXTRA FEE starting from 3.000 euros depending on number of guests

A tourist tax may be required upon arrival according to the regulations of your host municipality.
